Painted on aluminium panels, then primed with two coats of gesso. Stephen uses acrylic inks, alcohol inks, resin paste and powder, and silver and gold dust. Blending the colours using a variety of techniques to achieve a painting with no hard lines gives the appearance of motion, that changes and affects the picture in differing light.
