David Chambers

David Chambers

David Chambers Originals are widely collected and can be found in both private and corporate collections around the world. David is very much a man of the sea, having served in both the Royal Navy and the Royal Marines. During tours, he would often entertain the troops by sketching comical figures and cartoons. Inspired by far-flung destinations to which his nomadic naval career lead him, he was able to recreate inspiring, dynamically emotional images to transport art appreciators back in time.

Davids's love and knowledge of the sea are readily apparent in his work, carrying a strong sense of power and dynamic nature. The subjects hark back to a wonderful, golden era of sail and yet remain contemporary and relevant. Many of his paintings have a strong narrative sense, while the style and quality are a reminder of the traditionally great marine artists of a long-passed era.
