James Perry is a self-taught North Devon-based studio artist, whose favored medium, is oil. James developed both a love of art and the Devon coastline as a teenager which he endeavors to portray in his seascapes. Light is the key ingredient that James aspires to capture in all of his paintings, with his unique brushwork and passion, James seeks to articulate the beauty, atmosphere, and power of the North Devon beaches.

Says James, "To me, I see the world with an ever greater appreciation for the feelings that make us want to be alive the most, that is why I love to paint."
