Salt & Stone is the newest body of work by accomplished British artist Dale Bowen, exclusive to Echo Beach Gallery.

Rooted in the textures, tones, and quiet poetry of harbour towns, this collection is a nostalgic homage to the old coastal charm of the British Isles. Weathered cottages, cobbled slipways, fishing boats at low tide – each piece captures the soul of a place where time lingers, and stories settle like salt in stone.

Working in a muted, earthy palette, Dale layers paint and mixed media to create rich, tactile surfaces with a timeless quality. The result is a collection that feels both grounded and dreamlike, filled with the whispers of sea air, peeling paint, and the gentle stillness of forgotten quaysides.

These are statement pieces for interiors that value character, craftsmanship, and coastal soul. Perfect for homes by the sea, rural escapes, or contemporary spaces in need of a touch of old-world romance.

Dale Bowen was born in Staffordshire in 1963 and now paints from his studio in North Devon. From an early age, he was always interested in painting and studied art at Newcastle-under-Lyme College.

Dale is a master potter & has worked in the industry for over 20 years, firstly for Coalport China and then for Wedgwood for the last 15 years. Working for Wedgewood in the Prestige Department, he created many one-off pieces for the collectors market and commissions. Many of these pieces were highly decorated and exclusive, fetching in some cases £100,000. More recently, he gained a master's degree in ceramics at Staffordshire University and exhibited privately in New York, Washington and San Francisco, including an Exclusive Masterpiece Collection in Japan for Wedgwood.
