Somewhere Beyond - (Crow Point) - Mixed Media on Canvas - 29 x 29 inch SOLD

Crow Point lies at the mouth of the Taw Estuary in North Devon. It has a sandy beach that sweeps all the way round to Saunton. Accessed via a Toll Road from Velator, it is not so well known to visitors. Therefore, it is known as one of North Devon’s ‘hidden gems’.

I personally love Crow Point. It’s always so fresh and the sense of space is amazing. I have seen incredible cloud formations here, particularly in the autumn.

In this scene the clouds were simply enormous; they where light and fluffy at the top, then dark heavy and threatening at the bottom. They rolled over the sky quickly while bursts of sunlight escaped into the sky.

This is a mixed media piece. Created from texture paste, splashes of acrylic inks, acrylic paint oils and even a few subtle details using a marker pen.
