Russell Scott-Skinner

Original Semi-Abstract Coastal Seascapes
Russell Scott-Skinner is a professional artist with over two decades of experience. His distinctive abstract coastal seascapes draw inspiration from the raw energy of nature, where water, erosion and time sculpt the land into breathtaking forms. Influenced by the dramatic coastlines of North Devon and beyond, Russell often works from a geological or aerial perspective, creating highly textured, one-of-a-kind paintings that evolve through a process of layering and erosion, echoing the natural forces he admires.
Russell's work has been featured in solo exhibitions across London, used in conjunction with the 2012 London Olympics, and showcased on the BBC. With a growing international following, including collectors and celebrity clients, his reputation continues to rise. His paintings have also supported charitable causes, raising over £5,000 to date, and have appeared in public art installations across the UK.
Each painting is a living expression of the land and sea, impossible to replicate, and always shifting with the light and seasons. These pieces resist being captured on camera, revealing their true depth only when viewed in person.
"My paintings are born through the same natural processes that shape our land, built up, broken down, and grown over time. Each one is a portrait of nature’s energy and elegance, never still, never the same.” – Russell Scott-Skinner
